Pro Film/Video Forums
We’re very pleased to announce the launch of the ‘Pro Flim/Video forums‘, feel free to stop by and register for free. Our intention is to create a free resource for access to information regarding the ‘Pro Film/Video’ industry, including still photography. So head on over and check it out, register, post up some useful info and read some in return (or vice versa
.
We’ll be making posts as much as possible about things we believe are of interest to fellow lovers of this wonderful and entertaining industry, feel free to ask questions, we’ll be answering them to the best of our ability.
One last thing, we’ll be selecting possible candidates over the life of the forum who we feel exhibit the necessary qualities to become moderators, we will contact said persons and upon your approval will give you a shot at being a ‘moderator’. There will be benefits to becoming a moderator (more so for locals, but not limited to locals), these benefits will include backstage passes to some of our shoots & events among other things.

Richie Spice – Street Life [Pre Release]

Richie Spice Live
This passing week the ‘Tele-Kinetic Pictures’ team had sealed the deal and began shooting the video (Richie Spice – Street Life).
The pre-production has successfully been finished as of yesterday, and the post production work has begun. We will be updating this post on the blog, as soon as the behind the scenes pics and video have been sent over from our capture team.
UPDATE:
We haven’t got our hands on the behind the scenes footage as yet (we didn’t shoot our own behind the scenes this time around bcoz we were short staffed on this day), but rest assured that as soon as we receive it, we’ll be updating this post again.
In the meantime here’s a random pic of Richie that has been illustrated by our design artist:

Just Host Manipulative Marketing
I’ve received an e-mail from Just Host offering me 60% savings on url registration (which was really more like 50%) but I registered a few new ones anyway, I mean who can argue with half-off? Upon completion of my purchase I was redirected to the following offer:

AHOI!
I must say that while reading through this message for the first time, my ego was on the rise, like a steadily rising heartbeat. Unfortunately my common sense & some safe levels of pessimism kicked in (How could I have been hand picked, yet receive this offer as a browser window pop-up?), so I did a search for this on google: ‘Just Host Platinum Offer’ and guess what I found in the top search results?… You guessed it, a bunch of people blogging and commenting about the shadiness of this offer.
Some of the first sites I went to are as follows:
http://steven1350.com/wordpress/?p=13
http://www.bungeyepro.com/blog/you-have-been-chosen-earthling.html
Read the comments and make notes of the dates they were posted and you will immediately realize that more than 10 sites must have been sent this offer within any given month of getting it, it actually would seem to me that many of us are selected randomly by a computer/script/something other than their CEO.
Oh! Before I forget… Here’s the real punch… The fact that after being personally selected by the CEO (HAHA!), to be in the top 10 of 10,000 new sites which they ‘claim’ to receive each month (which is quite a large amount of filtering to be doing personally), not to mention structuring the offer page to suggest that this offer is ‘free’ considering your selection, only to give you following punch right at the end:

You Just Got Knocked The **ck Out!
And finally, I must say that I would have probably went with this offer, had I not felt like they tried to sneak their gloved hands into my emotions in a desperate search for the ‘Pay Button’.

Ninja Ford – ‘Some Days’ [Official Video]
Upon hearing the track and having previously worked with the artist ‘Ninja Ford’, who we must say is a very professional artist who has continuously stepped up his game, we accepted.
Some of you might have seen this premiere on Jamaica’s largest entertainment show, appropriately named the ‘Entertainment Report’ aka ‘ER’.
When we input the video we were told there would be a 2 week waiting period, but we were pleasantly surprised when Dameon (The track ‘Some Days’ was produced by Dameon Gayle, he contracted us to do the video) contacted us to let us know that a representative from ‘TVJ’ (Television Jamaica) had notified him that it would be premiered that same week instead.
Here’s the product of our combined efforts, please feel free to leave comments:
